Play 2030 online for free. 2030 is a short shoot 'em up game set in a post-apocalyptic future. As Jack O'Neall, commandeer the Protus and take on the evil robot armies that has kept humanity in stasis. Take out the Aracnotech bot at the very end to win. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select the play button below the game’s title to begin.
Select About Game for information on the game’s backstory and foes.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your keyboard:
    - Use the arrow keys to move.
    - Use the X key to shoot.
    - Use the C key to fire the missile.
    - Alternatively you can use the mouse left click to move and fire.
      - Some players might find using the mouse more intuitive to use than the keyboard.
      - When you fire with the mouse it does both shot types at the same time.
      - Playing with the mouse makes the game quite easy to beat.
      - Touchscreen devices
        Tap on the screen with your fingers to move and fire.
        Controls & indicators
        Your game score and health bar are shown in the upper left corner.
        Your remaining double shot and missiles are shown right of your health bar.
        Enemies have a health status bar above them.
        Pickups appear periodically on the screen. You have to run them over quickly to equip them.
        In the upper right corner there are 4 buttons for how to play, control game sounds, pause game, and exit game.

        Jack O’Neal escaped from a prison box that’s kept humanity in stasis. He must fight the technological menace and defeat the final boss to free humanity. To do that, he has commandeered the Protus 2030 SX ship.
        Basic rules
        Defeat as many foes as you can.
        Survive the onslaught of enemy fire.
        Keep track of your hit points using the health bar on the top left corner.
        Take out the boss.
        Enemies
        Common enemies
        Most enemies will try to fire at you in one direction.
        They usually take a few shots to take out with your laser. Their hit points are shown right above you.
        Types
        Mortal Ball
        Helivenom
        Raptor Mach
        Boss (Arachnotech)
        The boss takes longer to take out than the grunts, and has its own health bar on the top right of the screen.
        It has 2 types of attack:
        Several laser shots similar to regular foes.
        Bombs, which explode on contact. You can shoot them down before they make contact.
        Don’t get too close.
        Power ups
        Power ups float up after you take out enemies. They provide you with a brief burst of added power.
        There are 2 types:
        Missiles: These hone in on a target and can destroy enemies quickly.
        Double shots: These allow you to shoot twice as many enemies from 2 different levels.
        These only last for a brief moment, so collect them as soon as you can.
        Green bars also appear periodically, which restore some of your health.
        Tips
        Evade as many shots as you can. You’ll need the hit points for the boss.
        Shoot and dodge to deal with enemies.
        Take in as many power ups as you can.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like shoot em up games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
